Michael Singleton

Michael Singleton was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a graduate of Central High School. He is currently an Academic Success Coach, Mentor and Adjunct Instructor at Tulsa Community College. Michael is a self-motivated, results-driven leader with a successful record of working with at-risk and
underrepresented student groups.  He has over 10 years of experience in Student Affairs with expertise in developing integrated learning strategies designed to increase student retention and graduation rates. He enjoys being in a team-centric environment where accountability is expected. He is skilled at tailoring his communication style to reach diverse audiences. He is passionate about the educational success of all students, particularly underrepresented student populations and marginalized groups. His core strengths include understanding of student recruitment and retention, student needs assessment, at-risk student intervention strategies,
academic preparation models, and blended learning initiatives.

He received his Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Masters degree in Ministry and Culture from Phillips Theological Seminary.  Michael is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity
